Your story has shaped everyone around you. It's time someone documented it the way it deserves.

Storytelling Portraits: for the people whose story deserves more than a caption.

Your story didn't happen in isolation. It shaped the people around you — the ones who watched you fight, survive, and keep going.

A Storytelling Portrait Session is a full-day, deeply personal experience designed to capture not just how you look, but who you are. The challenges you've overcome. The faith that carried you. The version of yourself your family will want to remember long after this season is over.

This isn't a photoshoot. It's a portrait of your life.

This is what it looks like when a story gets told the way it deserves.

Each portrait below represents a real person, a real chapter, a real story that almost didn't get told. Scroll through — and ask yourself whose story you're thinking of.

A STORY THAT ALMOST DIDN’T GET TOLD.

Jamie turns 50 this year. She lost both of her parents in the last two years and she knows firsthand what it costs when a story doesn't get captured in time.

So before the milestone arrived, she sat down and told hers. Her faith that began at 7. A Division I softball career at the University of Hawaii. The year she walked away from the sport and lost her entire identity. The broken engagement. The moment she found herself in Jesus. A husband she almost didn't recognize as the one… until she did. And a daughter, Annabella, whose existence was nothing short of a miracle.

Jamie made her film for Annabella. But she was really making it for Annabella's children and their children after that. A thread of faith, documented, handed forward.

“She wanted to share God’s Story in her life. So her legacy, her parents legacy can live on. So their generations will know how God worked in their lives and changed their lives for eternity.”

A LIFE THAT CROSSED OCEANS, SURVIVED WAR, AND BUILT SOMETHING THAT REACHED OUTER SPACE.

Fred is 82 years old. He was 10 when the bombs started falling on his town in Germany. He was 17 when he got on a boat alone, arrived in Canada with nothing, drove across America with no plan, joined the US Army, and decided to make California home.

What followed was a life most people would call extraordinary and that Fred would simply call his. He built precision engineering machines used by NASA and Tesla. He grew a multi-million dollar company. He raised two children with exacting standards and deep love. He traveled the world. He never stopped being curious.

When the idea of a Legacy Film was first raised, Fred's response was characteristic: "What would I even say?"

His family had heard his stories. But stories passed through a family change over time. Details soften, facts shift, and the version that survives is never quite the one the person who lived it would tell.

Now they will always have it from Fred. His words. His facts. His details. The exact way he tells it, not the way someone remembered it, or the way it got passed down. Permanent. Accurate. His.

Who is this for?

A Storytelling Portrait is for anyone carrying a story that deserves to be permanently, beautifully told.

This is for you if:

  • You have lived through something hard and come out the other side changed — and you want that documented while you still have the words for it.

  • You are the adult child of a parent or grandparent whose story you are terrified of losing — and you want to give them the gift of being truly seen before it's too late.

  • You are someone who has built something — a family, a faith, a business, a life — and the people who love you deserve to know exactly how you did it.

  • You have been told your story isn't interesting. You are wrong. And someone needs to show you that.

This is not a regular photo session.

A regular photoshoot captures how you look.

A Storytelling Portrait captures who you are.

The difference:

A regular session: 1–2 hours, location, smile, done.

A Storytelling Portrait: multiple days, built around your narrative — with hair and makeup, wardrobe guidance, a video of you telling your story in your own voice, images and film that show who you are today, a custom album, and a framed print.

One produces beautiful images.

The other produces something your grandchildren will hold in their hands someday. It documents your past and present so your legacy will be shared with your generations and impact the lives of others.

I started this work because I kept watching extraordinary people leave this world without anyone ever capturing who they actually were.

Not the version that shows up at holidays. The real one — the person who survived something, built something, believed something so hard it changed everything around them.

I'm a photographer and a listener. I am a Creator of Legacy and it is my gift as I love hearing people’s stories and making sure their stories not only live on, but impact the lives of others in this world. And I've learned that most people don't know the weight of their own story until someone sits with them long enough to draw it out.

My process starts long before the camera turns on. We talk. I ask the questions that most people have never been asked. And slowly, the architecture of something extraordinary becomes visible — to both of us.

What I create isn't just portraits. It's proof.

Proof that you were here. That your story mattered. That the people who come after you will know exactly where they came from and your story will create ripples of impact in this world.

WHAT IT FEELS LIKE WHEN YOUR STORY FINALLY GETS TOLD.

“When Rachael first sat down and discussed this experience with me, I was honestly hesitant. I thought things like, “Why me?” And “Would it all work out?” But I was also excited! As we went along further, those doubts seemed to just disappear as God, and Rachael, of course, paved the way for such a magical event. God’s hands surrounded us as we chose the location, the dress, and even the pictures. The Lord’s love for Rachael, Mexico, and myself is so evident in all the artwork Rachael created. I’m so truly honored to be a part of her journey in discovering what God is calling her to do.”

How Your Storytelling Portrait Session Works

Seven steps. A few days. A story told the way it deserves to be.

Step 1: Your Discovery Conversation

We start with a real conversation — not a sales call. You'll tell me a little about who you are, what you've lived through, and what this season of your life represents. I'll listen closely. By the end of this call, you'll already feel the difference between being photographed and being truly seen.

Step 2: Session Design

Once we decide to work together, we begin designing your session from the inside out. What should this day feel like? What story do the images need to tell? Every element — location, concept, tone — is built around you, not a template.

Step 3: Wardrobe & Location Guidance

I'll guide you through every detail so there are no guesswork and no surprises. What you wear should reflect who you are, not who you think you should be on camera. I'll help you find that.

Step 4: Hair & Makeup

You deserve to feel taken care of before this day begins. Professional hair and makeup services are included — not as a luxury add-on, but because how you feel walking into this session shapes everything that gets captured in it.

Step 5: Your Storytelling Day

This is the day. We spend it together — unhurried, intentional, present. Through photography and videography, we document not just how you look, but what your story looks like made visible. Most clients tell me this day alone changes something for them.

Step 6: Your Reveal

When your portraits are ready, we experience them together. You'll watch your story unfold image by image — and see yourself the way the people who love you have always seen you. This moment is one of the most powerful parts of the entire experience.

Step 7: Your Story, Made Permanent

This is where everything comes together — three heirlooms, each one built to last.

Your Portrait Album. A custom, hand-designed book built cover to cover around your narrative. Not a photography book — a document of a life. Every image sequenced to tell your story from beginning to now, with room for the words and quotes that make it fully yours.

Your Framed Print. One portrait, chosen and printed to live on your wall. The image that says everything about who you are in this chapter — the one people will stop and look at.

Your Recreated Story Film + Images. The visual companion to your words — photography and video capturing you living the story you just told. Who you are today, rendered in image and motion, so future generations don't just hear your story. They see it.

Together, these three pieces aren't a package. They're a legacy.

Investment

Storytelling Portrait Sessions are a significant, custom investment. The discovery conversation is the right place to talk through what's possible and whether this is the right fit for your story and your family. Complete the application and then we’ll schedule a call and chat.

You have a story.

The question is whether you'll let someone tell it the way it deserves.

The people who hesitate longest are the ones who walk away most changed. Because the hardest part isn't the session — it's giving yourself permission to believe your story matters.

It does.

Start with a free, no-pressure discovery conversation. We'll talk about who you are, what you've lived through, and what you'd want documented. If it's the right fit, we'll build something together. If it isn't, you'll still leave the call knowing more about your own story than when you started.

Free 30-minute call. No commitment. No pressure.
