Whether it’s your first child, or you’re a pro with two or more children, having your baby professionally photographed is a great way to remember all those sweet little details of your newborn. As a mom of three, it still astonishes me how quickly kids grow and change. And that first year is honestly like rapid fire. Add to that that you are probably exhausted from lack of sleep, feedings, changing’s and just the general chaos that these little cherubs bring with them, and it’s easy to miss some precious moments.
While there are some things about your baby that will be forever etched in your memories, time can fade some of those, which is why, as a photographer, it is so important to me to help you capture those precious baby features. For example, what does your baby’s hair look like? Does he or she even have hair yet? Do they have little baby rolls? Does she squish up her face when she sleeps? What about those little fingers and toes? Oh my goodness those tiny toes pull at my heartstrings every time!
As with all my clients, I will work with you from an initial consultation to discuss your baby’s photo session, and letting you know what to expect. I’ll give you hints on the best time to photograph your child and we’ll discuss what color props coordinate best for your nursery or home. My studio provides a beautiful assortment of props, backdrops, wraps, bonnets, hats, and headbands. We will create some traditional newborn portraits for you, but I will also focus on all those little details of your son or daughter. Once the images are created, I can help you select the ones you’d like to have printed for albums and even help you design a wall gallery for your nursery, master bedroom or living room. Whether it’s a year from now, or 10 or 20 years from now, I’m quite certain you will never regret having your baby professionally photographed!
