Organize Your Photos Ripon CA

Whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer, or you use your iPhone to take photos, learning how to organize your photos will help you keep track of important memories. In this day of instantaneous everything, it’s easy to take lots of pictures. More than any other time in history, just about everyone has the ability to document baby’s first steps, graduations, weddings and more. As someone who feels deeply that life’s precious moments should be captured in photographs, I don’t generally take issue with this. However, because of the ease of creating image files, it’s extremely easy for them to get lost in the shuffle and forgotten. That’s why having prints and albums made is of great importance. Don’t let your life in pictures get lost!

Ultimately, the BEST way to save and share those beautiful memories is by printing your favorite shots! You can save smaller photos in plastic sleeved albums or create a photo book. And when looking for larger wall prints and albums, consult your professional photographer, as he or she will know how to direct you based on your needs and the space available in your home. One of my favorite things about my job is working with families by going into their homes, assessing their space and designing photo galleries and wall art for permanent display of their pictures.

Like anything, organizing your digital files takes some time and commitment, but the amount of time and frustration that is saved, when you want to access these images, is so worth the effort on the front end! There isn’t necessarily one right way to organize your photos. What is important is consistency. However you decide to name and separate your files, you’ll want to do it the same way each and every time.

Remember, the average lifespan of a digital file is approximately 10 years. The lifespan of a print is generally over 100 years! Once you’ve established a routine, you’ll find that looking for that perfect image to print is a breeze!
