Family and wine? Sign me up.

Recently, I was able to take family and marketing photos for the McManis Family of McManis Family Vineyards in Ripon, CA. This was a really fun project for me as it combined my two passions, family and business. We went into the brand session with the lofty goal of capturing images that they could use all year long. But first, let me introduce this family-owned vineyard to you and share a little more about this special session.

McManis Family Vineyards

This gorgeous vineyard was founded by Ron and Jamie McManis in 1990. From the very start, they believe that every bottle of their wine should be “quality wine at an honest price.”

The couple started their career as fourth-generation farmers and are able to infuse their farming knowledge with how to grow the best grapes. The vineyard now sprawls over 3,600 acres of beautiful growing grapes. Now their son, Justin McManis, and their daughter and son-in-law, Tanya & Dirk Heuvel, all help with the business and plan to continue the family tradition.

Signature Brand Session

As I mentioned above, we had the goal of taking images for the McManis team to be able to use in their marketing throughout the entire year. I had to dig into their business and ask some questions to make sure that I could photograph everything they needed for the year. It really was a collaboration between myself and the McManis family. The session was broken up into three parts.

Team photos - Captured images of the team members for the website and social media.

Wine product photos - Documented many wine images to use in online and offline marketing.

Family photos - We took photos of the entire family.

After all of this, we accomplished the goal. I’ve loved seeing the images in use on their social media.

Extended Family Photoshoot

Of course, I loved being able to capture the entire family during their extended family photoshoot. This vineyard is more than a business to the McManis family; it’s their legacy. These professional images of their business and beautiful family were the perfect way to showcase this incredible legacy.
